Novelist Delivers Political Thriller, Strikes an Alarming Chord

Author delves into detailed forecast of violence

SOUTHPORT, Conn. – The international focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict evokes a number of complex political questions. In the United States, the debate seems to focus on whether or not our support of Israel creates a strategic ally or band of enemies among Arab nations. The President’s Ultimatum (published by iUniverse) by John Cavi explores this and other complex issues surrounding the wide-ranging conflict and violence between the Israelis and Palestinians by presenting a fictional account of what would happen if the United States stepped in with a bold challenge to settle the dispute.

                                    The president moved forward in his chair. “That’s just the point;

                                    there will never be peace with that frame of mind. One Palestinian

                                    could frustrate the peace process for years on end. I’ve decided

                                    that the only option for negotiations to bear fruit in our lifetime is to

                                    force the issue by giving both Israel and Palestine an ultimatum to

                                    adopt my version of the Road Map.”

Cavi’s motivation to pen The President’s Ultimatum stems from his interest in and research on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His extensive research notes allowed Cavi to ground the novel factual details and current events. “The novel also suggests a possible resolution of the conflict,” says Cavi. “[It] outlines the potential lethal long term consequence if the conflict is not resolved.”

Cavi delivers a thrilling novel which weaves national security, energy independence, terrorism and political turmoil into a hypothetical projection which hits eerily close to reality.

The President’s Ultimatum was selected for inclusion in the iUniverse Rising Star program, which recognizes excellence in writing.
